A Choking Tiger

Yes, I was wrong. About everything on the other post. Hunter Mahan put himself out of contention with a second round 75. Geoff Ogilvy shot a 78 on Saturday and was seven strokes back after two rounds. Padraig Harrington, well you just feel bad for him. You thought he couldn't do it again, but he got another 8, like last week, but this time, it was on a par 3!! There's no way you couldn't feel bad for him after the second shot he had that went into the water. Harrington went from -6 to -1 in less than 20 minutes. He finished the final round with a 78. And of course, Tiger did not win. It's plain simple, he choked on Sunday. I'll be honest with you: Sunday morning, I was thinking he was vulnerable. His score kept going up each round, and he had five bogeys on Sunday, more than he had in the first three rounds combined! You have to give credit to Y.E. Yang. This guy was +5 after 23 holes while Tiger was -4. Listen to these numbers: on Yang's next 35 holes, he was -12. Yes, that's right, I did say -12. If you want to call that a come back, I'll give it to you. But yes, Tiger shocked us all, in a bad way. I know Sunday morning I said I could see him blowing it, but coming off two straight wins, this was a shocker, especially after his bogey-free round of 67 on Thursday. What a win for Yang, who is the first Asian-born player to win a major.

i dont think i would call it choking....choking is failing to execute UNDER PRESSURE. the only thing he did wrong on sunday was the putting, and it was even just sunday. his putting killed him all week. 120 putts doesnt cut it
