Gator Repeat?

The preseason standings are out for college football. The Gators are #1, as most people expected, Texas is #2, as many expected, and the Top Ten consist of new and old teams. Here is the list (1-10) and here's how I think they'll do this year.

1. Florida Gators - 12-0
I do not see any team that can easily take down the Gators. They return their ENTIRE defense, yes, that's right, all 11 guys. Tebow will be great and they have too many offensive weapons. If they get into trouble I think it could be against LSU or Georgia, but I think they can run the table to 12-0 for the regular season.

2. Texas Longhorns - 11-1
Texas' Heisman Hopeful QB Colt McCoy is returning for his senior season, and one of his favorite targets is back as well. Jordan Shipley returns to an excellent offense, but I think that Texas will not get past Oklahoma. Another game for the ages, but last year's Heisman Trophy winner Sam Bradford will want revenge.

3. Oklahoma Sooners - 11-1
The Sooners are coming off a Championship game loss, again, and they want revenge against Texas, and a championship. I think they will take Texas down this year, but I think Oklahoma State will beat them in their final regular season game. OSU returns Zach Robinson, Dez Bryant and Kendall Hunter and will have an incredible offense.

4. USC Trojans - 11-1
With Mark Sanchez gone, Aaron Corp or true freshman Matt Barkley will have to carry the load at QB. Any USC quarterback has a tremendous amount of pressure, and that's why I think they are going to lose to Oregon on the road. Oregon is going to be an interesting team to watch, and I think it is very possible for them to come away with a win. I also think the Ohio State game will be very intriguing. I think USC will win, but I will not be surprised at all if OSU comes away with a victory.

5. Alabama - 10-2
Alabama brings in 3 Top 20 recruits, according to CBS Sports, and I think they have some great returning players, including standout freshman WR Julio Jones. I think LSU and Virginia Tech will beat the Tide though. LSU is looking to bounce back from a rough season last year and I think Tyrod Taylor can lead the Hokies to a great season.

6. Ohio State - 10-2
I think this is a great year for Ohio State, but will still lose against USC. Ohio State only returns 12 starters from last year, but they do have some quality experience, including sophmore QB Terrelle Pryor. I do not think they can take down Penn State. OSU will be tired by the end of the season and this time they play at Penn State. Penn State and USC are to very tough opponents, and I think those two teams will take down the Buckeyes.

7. Virginia Tech - 10-2
Virginia Tech obviously does not have a rigorous schedule, being in the ACC, but I think Georgia Tech will beat them because Georgia Tech is home and have the great Jonathan Dwyer at running back. I think they have a good team, but not good enough to go through the season with one loss. I think one of the other losses could come against North Carolina or Miami.

8. Penn State - 10-2
Penn State returns strong. In a very close game I think they will take down OSU, but Iowa is a team to watch this year, and I think Iowa will beat them again, this time at home. I also think Illinois and Juice Williams could beat Penn State because Illinois is home.

9. LSU - 10-2
LSU brings in 3 top 15 recruits and had the best recruiting class, according to CBS Sports. I think they will lose to Florida, just because Florida is too strong, and watch out for Ole Miss. Jevan Snead and the Rebels could have what it takes to beat the Tigers. I think Georgia is the other team that will beat them.

10 - Mississippi - 9-3
Mississippi has a lot of hype coming in, but I don't know if they can live up to it. I still think they will go 9-3, but lose to LSU and Alabama, both better teams than Mississippi, and I think that Eric Berry and Tennesse can take them down as well.
