The Colts. To make it short. There is a lot more to it than just picking Indianapolis though. I think this is going to be a great game like the last two Super Bowls have been. But again, I think Peyton Manning will capture his second championship ring.
Remember back in Week 16 when both the Colts and Saints lost after starting 14-0 and 13-0 respectively? After those losses, everyone was saying how the Vikings would make it to the Super Bowl, or the Chargers, or the Eagles or any other team. That week, no one thought that the two teams closest to perfection would be the last ones to play in the 2009-2010 season. Sure enough, they are. Up until Week 14, many had these two teams finishing undefeated and making it to Miami. Tomorrow, the matchup that people across the country have been hoping to see will take place.
During the day, football fans throughout the nation will be preparing for Super Bowl parties. While people are cooking food, Peyton Manning will be preparing for his second Super Bowl in the last four years. Drew Brees will be preparing for the biggest game of his entire life, as will New Orleans coach Sean Payton and the other Saints players. Then, at 6:00 pm, the AFC and NFC champs will play their final game to determine the true champion.
But back to my prediction. I really think the Saints will make this a game for the ages. Nonetheless, I am sticking with my original Super Bowl prediction and picking Indianapolis. Peyton Manning was built for these types of games. The Super Bowl experience will definitely benefit the Colts (especially because the Saints have never been to one in their entire history while the Colts won it just three years ago). I also expect the Colts defense to limit the running of Reggie Bush and Pierre Thomas, whether Dwight Freeney plays or not. Peyton Manning should be on his game, and I think the Colts come away as champions in a game that will be decided in the fourth quarter.
